Richard A Forrester is a public health professional, occupational safety and health researcher, and technology developer focused on building intelligent systems that help people and organizations recognize risk earlier, understand complex information and make better-informed decisions.

Originally from Kingston, Jamaica, Richard earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health in 2016 and began his professional career as a Public Health Inspector. From 2016 to 2023, his work in Jamaica developed a particular focus on occupational safety and health, giving him direct experience with the practical challenges of protecting workers, managing environmental and public health risks, and translating technical evidence into decisions that can be acted upon.

He later completed a Master of Science in Healthcare Management and a Postgraduate Diploma in Meat and Other Foods Inspection in 2021, broadening his experience across healthcare systems, regulatory practice and population health.

After moving to Canada in 2023, Richard continued his career in public health inspection, bringing his experience into the Canadian public health environment. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Occupational Safety and Health at West Virginia University, further developing the academic foundation supporting his work in occupational health, safety and technology.

Richard created PanthoCor as the working identity for a portfolio of independent technology initiatives built around a common principle: use technology to turn complex data into earlier, clearer and more useful decisions.

That principle connects his work across occupational health and safety, artificial intelligence, connected systems, wearable technology, decision support and emerging health-sensing research.
